With that book closed, I needed to find a new show to watch. Initially, I was going to rewatch Shin Sekai Yori, but my friend recommended we watch Neon Genesis Evangelion together. !--more--We're about 6 episodes in or so, and I've been enjoying it. Growing up, I was never a fan of 'Mechimes' so I dismissed the show altogether. Now that I'm giving it an honest shot, I can see myself appreciating it for everything aside from the mechs: the art, music, characters, and story direction. It's also nice that it hasn't put a large amount of emphasis on the mechs yet in the series.
