I generally have to connect to the work VPN. With this, I can access the network storage, as well as create a remote desktop connection to my physical desktop at work. I find this extremely preferable to installing my work apps on my desktop, even though there is a noticeable loading delay.

From the remote connection, I will try to create a daily folder with all the files I will need to use during the day. Then, back on my normal desktop, I will prepare any and all reports that are part of my daily duties. Luckily, most things are done in Excel or in a webapp, which is easily accessible, regardless of the device I'm using.

I'm able to call my work phone throughout the day and can pull my voicemails so I can assist guests. I also have my e-mail configured through Thunderbird, so I have quick access to incoming messages. I could use the Outlook webapp, but it has never been preferable for me.

I started getting my team to use Microsoft Teams (we were already paying for the license with Office), so now we have communications through that. Generally it's small talk, sending GIFs, or asking questions about work that can be answered quickly. I've been able to join a few work meetings as well this way.

It's a simple setup, but I am happy and content with it.
