Life with Dot

Thoughts, Musings, and Notes

It's coming up on three months since I started my website and my deep dive into privacy. I've read three books and countless blog posts. I'm using Linux as my daily driver. I'm getting those around me to start using Signal. My messages to myself are encrypted with PGP. I've learned about uBlock Origin and uMatrix, and have blocked most third party requests and javascript. Even after doing all of these and more, my daily experience is still good.

So usually, I don't listen to much music specifically. When driving, I sit in silence. If I want background noise, I tend to listen to different YouTube videos. Music has just not been significant for me in nearly a decade.

I've been a Soulsborne fan for several years now. But I had only really played Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne (and I suppose Sekiro, but it feels different). Well, the other week my best friend gifted me Dark Souls 3. It was on my to-buy list for a while, but was never important enough to justify spending the money.

I was talking with a few colleagues the past week about activism and where I'm currently at. So I got a kitten about 8 months ago, and I couldn't be happier as a cat mom. She's kind of a brat a lot of the time, but I think she'll grow out of it. Lately she's become a bit more mellow and likes napping and cuddling up with me which is like, exactly what I like in cats. But she's still got a lot of spunk and energy to burn off, which keeps me up at night sometimes.

I LOVE puzzles. As I mentioned last night, I got a Megaminx cube as a gift for my birthday. I have multiple Rubik's cubes (2x2, 3x3, mirror cube, void cube, 4x4). But this is my first not-cube cube.
