Something that's been important to me for as long as I can remember is keeping my accessories clean. Having to use other's dirty controllers made me not want to play games at all. So nowadays I have regular cleaning days for my things: controllers, keyboard, screens, surfaces. I personally prefer deep cleaning as well and try to take things apart as much as possible and soak the plastics. It's nice knowing everything will last longer as well. Give it a shot sometime and appreciate your stuff being 'like new' again.
With my Borderlands 3 review looming over my shoulder, I've been working on getting a collection of screenshots together to add to it. It has a 'Photo Mode' option when pausing the game. This gives you a bit of a free moving camera to set up shots for scenic effects.
So yesterday I spent a little bit of time writing a draft for a bigger post. I have the next few days off, and I wrote down several topics to write about, so I should get a backlog together. Sorry this is more of a meta post today, but it's better than no post! Catch ya later.
So it's been about a week since I started playing Borderlands 3, and I am absolutely hooked. It's still a bit too soon for me to write up a full review, but I've been taking notes on the experience. In the meantime, I figure I could share my initial reactions.
I got to experience first hand how many people just don't wear masks when they go out, and it is terrifying. Yesterday I went to get groceries at what I thought was an 'off' time, but wound up being the busiest I've ever seen this grocery store. As I walked in, I saw almost everyone walking around without masks. No social distancing being done, and people coming in with their family of five.
Ahh, fighting games. One of my weaker genres, but a fav nontheless. In high school, I started playing Street Fighter IV. My enjoyment was never from the competition side of things, but just having fun with combos.
Man I'm feeling good. I've got a snowball building up and it's looking to be a good July. I got an amazing deal on a PS4 pro that I'm picking up tomorrow, in 3 weeks I'll have my last loan paid off, and after that, we start rolling into a busy season at work. It's been on my mind all weekend (as well as Borderlands 3, but that will be a big post in the near future).
So today I had the pleasure of leading a meeting for a local group. We were trying to determine what programs we should use that fit our needs best. I'm relatively new to the group (and new to leading meetings), but I've participated enough to have a strong idea of how to make sure the meeting was effective.
Beyond budgeting and paying off student loans, another financial interest of mine has to be playing the credit card game. During my third year of college, I applied for two different cards: the Discover it and a card with my personal bank. My hope was to build credit so if I ever needed to take out a personal/home/auto loan, I would be able to get a good deal.
