I've spent most of the day updating different systems of mine. One of the main things I updated was reinstalling Debian. I also added new links on the blog, downloaded screenshots from my consoles, and uninstalled some apps from my phone. The last thing I did was switched my Tails USB to a smaller storage device.
Earlier today I noticed that write.as has their own series of writing prompts that get updated weekly found here. Anyone can make a submission from that link, so if you want to join in, go on ahead. No cost and no risk.
Got the plat in dark souls. The end was driving me bonkers if my last post didn't make it obvious. But I'm happy to say that I did it in 3 weeks, which might be a personal record for a FromSoft game (I'd have to look back at Sekiro). Not sure what game I will focus on next, but I've got tons of options.
FUCK PvP in games. I'm trying to get items to get the platinum trophy in Dark Souls 3 and I'm ready to break my controller. I'm just absolute garbage at it, but the alternative is farming 50 items at a 1% drop rate per run. I'm trying to alternate between them but I die like 800000 times before having one successful invasion. At least with the grind I'm not absolutely disgusted with myself and the game. God. Fuck this.
God RNG grinds in games suck. I'm at the very end of my Dark Souls 3 journey, and I'm having to farm specific NPCs over and over and over and over again. I'm going to go crazy now. I didn't think the rates would be this bad.
One of my favorite corners of YouTube has to be breadtube. For those unfamiliar, it is a collection of leftist channels that discuss events and ideas in an infotainment manner. I consider it the Bill Nye of politics.
Lately, there haven't been too many games that I've just wanted to sit down and spend the whole day playing. Well, yesterday, I put a massive dent into Dark Souls 3.
It's coming up on three months since I started my website and my deep dive into privacy. I've read three books and countless blog posts. I'm using Linux as my daily driver. I'm getting those around me to start using Signal. My messages to myself are encrypted with PGP. I've learned about uBlock Origin and uMatrix, and have blocked most third party requests and javascript. Even after doing all of these and more, my daily experience is still good.
So usually, I don't listen to much music specifically. When driving, I sit in silence. If I want background noise, I tend to listen to different YouTube videos. Music has just not been significant for me in nearly a decade.
